Jamie Gilbert, originally from Bell County, Kentucky, is a first-generation college graduate with a BA in Psychology from Berea College, where she also studied Spanish language. During her time as a student, Jamie spent three years in program and administrative support roles at Brushy Fork through Berea’s work-study program.
After graduation, Jamie served for two years as a Program Associate at Partners for Rural Impact (formerly Partners for Education), supporting initiatives in Eastern Kentucky schools such as PartnerCorps PRI, Innovative Approaches to Literacy (IAL), and Stop the Violence (STOP-V).
In 2023, Jamie returned to Brushy Fork as a Program Support Specialist. She completed her Master’s in Public Administration from Eastern Kentucky University in 2024, with a focus on nonprofit management and community development. Jamie is passionate about serving the Appalachian region and is committed to making a positive impact by contributing to the growth and prosperity of its communities.
